SkyWest Airlines in Lafayette, Louisiana, is seeking a part-time Airport Agent to deliver frontline passenger service and ensure smooth operations at the gate and ramp. You will load luggage, issue tickets, assist with seating and rebooking, and help passengers with special needs in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

The role requires 18+ years old, a valid driver's license, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Have a valid, unrestricted state-issued driver’s license.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• This is a part-time position.
• $16 per hour.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously.
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area.
• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Service aircraft as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner
• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and courteously
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area
• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions
• Service aircraft as needed

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Pass a background check and drug screeningLegally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing
• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management skills
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• This is a part-time position
• $16 per hour

Physical and Other Requirements

• Candidates must be available to attend full-time training during the first 1–3 months of employment. Full-time training generally consists of 7–8 hour classroom days, Monday through Friday. Additional on-the-job training will be scheduled around current flight schedules and may include early mornings or overnight hours.
