Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) – Airplane Electronic Engineers (Mid-Level & Lead)

The 787 Electronic Systems (Avionics, Integrated Modular Avionics, Network Systems, & Electrical Subsystems) team located in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a member of the Electronic Systems team at BSC, you will develop and support these systems and their components in a sustaining production environment. Project examples include addressing design obsolescence, developing product improvements, supporting production build and test, supporting new customer introduction, and supporting the in-service fleet.

Position Responsibilities
  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware Development & Qualification
  • Experience with DO-297 Integrated Modular Avionics Development & Qualification
  • Experience with ARP-4754 Systems Development & Qualification
  • Experience with DO-178 Airborne Software Development & Qualification
  • Engineering Requirement definition / verification
  • Commercial Aerospace certification experience
  • Experience w/ ARINC 429 & 664

Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $112,200 - $151,800

Summary Pay Range Lead (Level 4): $136,850 - $185,150
