Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston, SC seeks an Associate Airplane Electronic Engineer for the 787 Electronic Systems team. You will develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements, design interfaces, and validate results across hardware and software domains.

You will test, verify, and support supplier integration, ensuring compliance with requirements, and address fielded hardware/software issues across the lifecycle. Relocation eligibility applies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or related field.
  • 2+ years’ related work experience or equivalent education.
  • 1+ years’ experience with airplane systems.
  • Experience with Electrical Load Analysis.
  • Familiarity with Engineering requirements: Definition / Verification.
  • Experience with airplane certification or military specifications.

Position

Airplane Electronic Engineers (Associate) – Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) – 787 Electronic Systems (Avionics, Integrated Modular Avionics, Network Systems, & Electrical Subsystems) team located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Design hardware, software and interface specifications.
  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 1 or more years’ experience with airplane systems.
  • Experience with Electrical Load Analysis.
  • Familiarity with Engineering requirements: Definition / Verification.
  • Experience with airplane certification or military specifications.
