Job summary

SP+ at US airports is seeking a Wheelchair Assistant to provide passenger assistance for travelers using wheelchairs. The role involves moving passengers to gates, assisting with luggage, and upholding safety and courtesy throughout the shift.

This position requires physical capability, background checks, and airport badge eligibility. Training and compliance with airport policies are mandatory, with a professional, customer-first attitude a must.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Push wheelchair passengers to and from gates.
• Assist passengers with moving luggage to vehicles, taxi stands, or rental car areas.
• Maintain a friendly, attentive approach and follow dispatcher gate orders.
• Complete wheelchair or incident reports as required.
• Ensure passenger safety and assist with any problems or questions.
