Job summary

SkyChefs in Jamaica-USA-11430 is seeking a Food Production Manager to lead supervisors and frontline staff across multiple shifts in a fast-paced airline catering operation. You will ensure food safety, efficiency and service excellence while managing labor budgets and compliance standards.

Reporting to the Director of Operations near JFK, you will implement lean principles, coordinate with airline clients, and drive continuous improvement in production quality and on-time meal delivery.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on leadership in food production or high-volume manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, motivation, and team-building abilities.
• Knowledge of FDA, HACCP, GMP and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with VPS or similar production tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of cooks, production staff, and supervisors.
• Plan, organize, and manage daily hours, schedules, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Ensure on-time, accurate production and compliance with FDA, HACCP, and other regs.
• Manage department budgets, inventory, scheduling, and cross-functional airline client collaboration.
