Job summary

Flying Food Group in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii seeks a customer service driven account manager to serve as the main liaison with airline customers and internal teams. This non-exempt, full-time role requires strong communication and problem-solving to meet contract requirements.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree, 3–5 years in airline/food industry, proficient with Excel/Word/PowerPoint, and the ability to work in a refrigerated, fast-paced environment. Travel is minimal with 5% noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. Degree from a 4-year university.
• 3-5 years of experience in the airline/food industry.
• Able to communicate, understand, and read English language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of account management, including communication with the airline corporate office, local office where the operational unit is located, and primary account management within Flying Food Group.
• Ensure compliance with all customer and airline service requirements by maintaining performance on customers as specified in the contract.
• Develop and maintain a positive, professional working relationship with customer and unit management and staff, establishing a clear line of communication at all levels.
• Monitor communications between billing department and the customer and make recommendations to remedy disputes.
• Maintain prompt and effective communications with customers and operations staff to resolve issues and develop data related to the account.
• Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day operational communications with the customer and develop business relationships for root cause resolution.
• Be externally/internally visible to customer by participating in some flight deliveries and interfacing with cabin crew and operations unit.
