Job summary

Flying Food Group in Kahului, HI is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to supervise the transportation of meals and equipment to airline catering facilities and aircraft. You will lead drivers and staff, enforce safety, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience in airline operations or food logistics, HACCP knowledge, and strong leadership. Evening/weekend shifts and overtime may occur; CDL may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of airline operations management experience or 3 years in the food industry logistics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to manage operational records.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP standards and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Must pass a 10-year background check and drug screening.
• Valid CDL Class B or Class C Non-CDL, depending on location.
• Sanitation certification is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a diverse workforce.
• Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes.
• Commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
• Screening Requirements- Must pass a pre-employment drug test, must complete a Port Authority Background Check, must be eligible for and maintain Customs Seal and TSA clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficient transportation of meals, equipment, and supplies to and from airline catering facilities and aircraft.
• Supervise drivers, helpers, and support staff to meet schedules and airline specifications.
• Monitor safety standards and enforce compliance across transportation operations.
• Coordinate logistics and ensure timely catering in accordance with standards.
• Lead daily briefings and communicate updates to transportation personnel.
• Conduct shift reports and maintain driver documentation accurately.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness, functionality, and readiness for use.
• Support training and development of the transportation team.
• Respond to last-minute changes and customer needs.
