Placements24 is recruiting an Aircraft Structures Technician for a Welkom facility. The role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and modifying aircraft airframes and structures using a range of materials, while adhering to aviation standards.

The ideal candidate will read and interpret engineering drawings and repair manuals, perform NDT where applicable, and contribute to safe, reliable aircraft operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Experience with metals, composites, and plastics in aircraft structures.
• Ability to read structural repair manuals and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue using visual and NDT methods.
• Perform repairs and modifications to airframes, wings, fuselage, and control surfaces per manuals.
• Fabricate and install structural components with precise fitting to specs.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and modifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement repair solutions.
