Placements24 is recruiting an Aircraft Structures Technician for a Welkom facility. The role focuses on inspecting, repairing, and modifying aircraft airframes and structures using a range of materials, while adhering to aviation standards.

The ideal candidate will read and interpret engineering drawings and repair manuals, perform NDT where applicable, and contribute to safe, reliable aircraft operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue using visual and NDT methods.
• Perform repairs and modifications to airframes, wings, fuselage, and control surfaces per manuals.
• Fabricate and install structural components with precise fitting to specs.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and modifications.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance facility in Welkom . This role is fundamental to the structural integrity and safety of the aircraft fleet. You will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft airframes and associated structures, working with a variety of materials including composites, aluminum, and steel. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, utilizing visual inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods where applicable.
• Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft airframes, wings, fuselage, and control surfaces according to approved technical data and structural repair manuals.
• Fabricate and install structural components, ensuring precise fitting and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspection, repair, and modification work performed.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop and implement effective repair solutions.
