Job summary

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, based at the Anchorage International Airport, is seeking an Airport Operations Officer to help manage safety and efficiency of landside, terminal, and airside operations.

The role requires coordinating with FAA, TSA, tenants and the public to analyze and resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulations, while preparing for emergencies and supporting federal grant programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of airfield, terminal, landside operations and security per FAA/TSA rules.
• Ability to analyze problems and apply solutions in dynamic airport environments.
• Strong oral and written communication for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of personnel safety and security controls.
• Technical competence to interpret aviation regulations and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with FAA, TSA, tenants, airlines and the public to ensure safety.
