Job summary

State of Alaska DOT&PF, Airfield Maintenance, seeks an Equipment Operator Journey 1 to support operations at Anchorage International Airport. Responsibilities include operating graders, loaders, dump trucks, snow removal machines, and more to maintain airfield surfaces and adjacent areas.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction or maintenance settings.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment listed for airfield construction and maintenance.
• Perform snow removal and debris cleanup on airfield surfaces, parking lots, and roadways.
• Conduct daily equipment cleaning and routine maintenance checks.
• Assist with emergency repairs and vegetation control as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance with FAA/TSA requirements within an airport environment.
