Job summary

City of Morgantown in Morgantown, WV is seeking an Airport Operations & Maintenance Specialist to ensure safety, security, and upkeep of airport grounds, buildings, and equipment. This role oversees staff as needed and supports ARFF responses, while coordinating FBO services.

You will interact with pilots, tenants, and the public, perform inspections, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must obtain ARFF certification within 6 months.
• Must obtain CPR & First Aid certification within 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of equipment, facilities and airport environment to maintain compliance with regulations.
• Repair and maintain hangars, buildings, roads, runways and equipment.
• Provide customer service to pilots, tenants and the public.
• Respond to ARFF situations and support emergency operations.
• Oversee and coordinate maintenance staff as needed and ensure safety.
