Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking an Airfield Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair of airport equipment and surrounding areas at Double Eagle II. Responsibilities include operating pavement equipment, snow removal, and maintaining runways and taxiways, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, two years in construction/grounds maintenance, and valid CDL/COP licenses as specified.

Qualifications

• Education directly related to the minimum requirements may be substituted for experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience in construction, paving, facilities or grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of airport equipment and surrounding property and facilities.
• Operate airfield pavement maintenance equipment and assist with snow removal.
• Ensure safe work practices and report findings to the maintenance team.
• Respond to airfield emergencies as needed.
