Job summary

The City of Albuquerque is seeking personnel for airport maintenance and repair duties, including snow removal, operating pavement maintenance equipment, and maintaining runways and surrounding facilities.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in construction, paving, or facilities/grounds maintenance, plus valid CDL and COP within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in construction, paving, facilities or grounds maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of airport equipment and surrounding property and facilities.
• Operate various airport equipment and vehicles and inspect for repair and maintenance needs.
• Perform snow removal on runways, taxiways and terminal areas.
• Maintain runways, taxiways and related areas; repair pavement and perform related tasks.
• Construct forms, pour concrete, build fences and signs as needed.
• Mow landscaped areas around runways and maintenance of mowing equipment.
• Respond to airfield emergencies and public inquiries; maintain communications with the control tower.

Education

High school diploma or GED; and Two (2) years of experience in construction, paving, facilities or grounds maintenance
