The City of Albuquerque is seeking a capable airport maintenance worker to participate in repair and upkeep of airport equipment and surrounding facilities. You will operate various airport vehicles and assist skilled technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations.
Responsibilities include runway and taxiway upkeep, snow removal, and responding to airfield emergencies while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Position Summary
Participate in the maintenance and repair of airport equipment and surrounding property and facilities; perform snow removal from airfield runways, taxiways and terminal areas; operate pavement maintenance equipment to repair airfield surfaces and perform a variety of maintenance tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
High school diploma or GED; and
Two (2) years of experience in any combination of the following areas:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
