Job summary

The City of Albuquerque is seeking a diligent worker to perform manual labor in support of assigned area, assisting in construction and maintenance of City facilities, structures, and open space areas.

This role involves janitorial duties, grounds maintenance, weed and litter control, irrigation work, and assisting skilled crews on park construction, street maintenance, and waste collection tasks. A valid NM driver's license is preferred and physical stamina is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of general maintenance or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of manual labor tasks including maintenance and janitorial duties.
• Assist skilled staff with construction of facilities, shade structures, fencing, and play areas.
• Clean and maintain buildings, windows, floors, and restrooms.
• Assist in inventory control and warehouse receiving.
• Support street and open-space maintenance, including litter and weed control.
• Operate and assist with basic maintenance of tools and equipment as directed.
