The City of Avon Park is seeking a versatile maintenance worker to support airport and grounds operations. You will perform ground maintenance, operate landscape equipment, and assist with airfield tasks as needed.

Training will occur to fuel aircraft and obtain required certifications within six months. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic handyman tools knowledge, mechanical ability, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Qualificações

• Hold a NATA Line Fuel Service Certification or ability to obtain fueling certification within six months of hire date.
• Good knowledge of common handyman tools.
• Mechanical ability.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Ground maintenance including edging, fertilizing, spraying fence lines, trimming trees, landscaping, mulching.
• Operates landscape equipment (Batwing, zero-turn, side-by-side vehicle, edger, weed-eater).
• Use of hand tools (drills, saws).
• Install signs and repair fences (replacing posts).
• Measures fuel tank levels and performs daily fuel tank maintenance.
