Job summary

Allegheny County Airport Authority is seeking a Temp Driver to operate trucks and snow removal equipment to keep Pittsburgh International Airport in optimal condition. The role requires a PA CDL and prior maintenance-driving experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and radio procedures.

The driver will work assigned shifts, including overtime during the winter season, and must be able to perform duties in varied weather and 24/7 operations while upholding the Authority's ethics and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as a driver in a maintenance environment.
• Must possess a current, valid Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL.
• Knowledge of FAA ground control and radio procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks, snowplows and other equipment to maintain airport operations.
• Work shifts and be available for overtime during snow season.
• Perform safety checks and ensure equipment is fueled and maintained.
• Communicate effectively via radio; follow airfield procedures and safety guidelines.
• Support 24/7 operations and respond to emergencies as needed.
