Job summary

Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) is seeking a Laborer to support maintenance at Pittsburgh International Airport and AGC. You will perform diverse manual tasks to help maintain airfield surfaces and facilities.

The position requires physical effort, strict safety adherence, and the ability to work with little supervision while supporting ground operations, landscaping, snow removal and equipment handling. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid PA Class C Driver’s License; airfield driver’s test within 30 days.
• Own PPE safety footwear required.
• Adhere to ACAA PPE and safety guidelines.
• Pesticide/weed applicator license beneficial.
• Knowledge of FAA Ground Control radio procedures.
• Able to work in confined spaces and follow safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop or participate in job safety analysis procedures.
• Mix and pour concrete, asphalt, and hot mix to repair runways and ramp areas.
• Use a jackhammer to break pavement.
• Paint taxiways, runways, and pavement markings.
• Cut grass and perform landscaping duties as required.
• Clean work areas, manage waste, and assist on sand cleanup.
• Assist with snow removal and runway maintenance.
• Move materials and assist with demolition and wiring tasks.
• Maintain water conveyance systems.
• Perform other related work as assigned.
