Job summary

The Allegheny County Airport Authority is hiring an Equipment Operator C1A to operate and maintain heavy equipment at PIT and AGC. You will work under supervision to support trades, water and sewer repairs, and runways maintenance, including snow removal when required.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a PA Class A or B CDL with two years of heavy equipment experience. Candidates must follow safety guidelines and be prepared for a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience operating heavy mobile road and off-road construction and maintenance equipment.
• Must possess a current Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoes, front-end loaders and excavators for support of tradesmen in excavation and repair of water, sewer, electrical and gas lines.
• Operate high pressure water sewer cleaning equipment.
• Operate pumps for manhole work.
• Operate forklift for material handling at multiple facilities.
• Operate skid steer and related equipment for landscape projects and other maintenance.
• Operate paving equipment for in-house projects.
• Operate crawler loaders and excavator for landside repairs and opening emergency roads.
• Hoist and handle materials for tenants and stockpile sand, salt, and construction materials.
