Job summary

Yulista Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled technician to maintain, service, and certify aircrew egress systems for NASA’s fleet, with responsibilities for life-support equipment and NAMIS record-keeping.

You will handle safety-critical components (ejection seats, canopies, hatches, flight helmets, oxygen masks, survival gear) and perform testing with altimeters and related equipment to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 4 years technical experience with at least 2 years performing engineering technician duties (sustaining aircrew equipment, testing of Full Pressure Suits, working with aircraft egress systems).
• Must have completed a basic military (or commercial equivalent) aircrew life support or aircrew flight equipment; or ejection systems specialist course; or specialist manufacturer’s training completion certificate.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA Airframe license; or a FAA senior parachute rigger license within 1 year of hire date.
• Individual must have the communication skills required to interface and coordinate with the Operations engineers and other technically qualified personnel.
• Must be capable of performing physical labor including, walking, standing, lift up to 40 lbs., pulling, climbing up and down aircraft ladders and agility/dexterity to perform duties assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, modifies, packs and adjusts life sustaining aircrew equipment.
• Repairs flotation equipment, escape slides and parachutes.
• Operates, maintains, and inspects shop machinery, test equipment, and tools.
• Uses NAMIS to maintain equipment records and document maintenance actions.
• Tracks and updates inspection records and serviceability status of equipment.
• Forecasts supply and manage stock levels for component replacement.
