Job summary

Textron is offering a 2027 Internship - Technical Publications Engineer in Wichita, KS. The role involves assisting in creating and revising aircraft technical documentation, using CATIA CAD and Arbortext to produce 2D and 3D procedures, and ensuring content meets regulatory requirements.

Interns will work onsite for the 10-week summer program, gain hands-on experience, and be mentored by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aviation or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to understand engineering data and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering research, development and certification for authoring/illustrating new and sustaining model technical publications.
• Use CATIA CAD and Arbortext to produce detailed 2D/3D procedures for aircraft operations and maintenance.
• Ensure data conform to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Verify accuracy of content, instructions and illustrations.
• Collaborate with design engineers and project teams.
• Validate document procedures via CATIA and on-aircraft validations.
