Job summary

Textron Aviation offers a 2027 Internship in Technical Publications Engineering. This role supports operation and maintenance documentation for aircraft parts and systems, using CATIA CAD and Arbortext.

You will assist with research, documentation, and validation in collaboration with engineers and customer service staff. Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor’s in Engineering, Aviation or related field, strong communication, and familiarity with engineering drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop good working relations by coordination, communication, and issue resolution with other engineering disciplines.
• Ability to understand engineering data, and research/analyze engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience and knowledge of aircraft operation, aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance practices and aircraft manufacturing.
• Experience using SGML/HTML/XML and/or Arbortext Editor preferred.
• Professional and diplomatic demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the team in creating and preparing new or revised aircraft technical documentation about the operation and maintenance of aircraft parts, systems and assemblies.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aviation or relative field.

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
