Job summary

Republic Airways Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of aircraft structures to ensure airworthiness and safety.

The role involves coordinating with OEMs to implement structural modifications, repairs, and upgrades while complying with regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high safety standards and optimize airline performance, including involvement in aging aircraft

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with a rating of Airframe & Powerplant or foreign equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in Aviation (any discipline) or related technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in related engineering and/or aircraft maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of 14 CFR maintenance and airworthiness requirements (Parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91, 121) and manuals required by 14 CFR Parts 121 and 133.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation (any discipline) preferred; Six Sigma or Lean certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OEM, STC Holders, DER teams to diagnose structural issues and recommend repair solutions that comply with regulatory standards.
• Analyze and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support aircraft modifications, repairs, and upgrades.
• Develop work cards specific to structural inspections, repairs, modifications and continued airworthiness.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Teams to ensure repair documents are understood and repairs are accomplished to authorized published instructions.
• Ensure all structural repairs are accurately tracked for aging aircraft analysis.
• Provide technical expertise during aircraft inspections, maintenance checks and incident investigations related to structural integrity.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate materials, components and technologies for structural applications.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory submissions and internal records.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to improve processes.
• Foster the Company’s core values and culture.

Education

Associate’s degree in Aviation (or related technical field)

Bachelor’s degree in Aviation (preferred)
