Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures) to repair and replace aircraft components per drawings and manuals at the Washington site. You will fabricate, form and install structural parts, balance blades, and perform inspections with a safety-first mindset.

The role requires high school diploma, relevant training or experience, and the ability to use precision tools, read technical manuals, and work with PPE in a dynamic maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Military technical school or specialized training is desired; certification of education level is required.
• Valid Driver's License required; provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair, fabricate, modify and install structural parts using metal forming techniques.
• Balance rotary-wing aircraft blades and perform inspections per manuals.
• Prepare parts, records and logs for maintenance activities.
• Assist technicians and maintain tools and PPE compliance.
• Perform final checks on assemblies and replaced parts.
