Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton, WI is seeking a Structural Mechanic II to join a production team. You will perform a variety of structural assembly operations, rivet assemblies, and interpret blueprints to ensure safe, compliant aircraft components.

Work under minimal supervision in a team environment; you must meet quality standards, complete tasks to schedule, and adhere to 5S and safety programs. Prior experience with Solumina/SmarTeam is a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years related structural assembly experience.
Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures; drilling and riveting operations.
Rivet structural assemblies using appropriate tools and remove fasteners without damaging structure.
Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence and hole patterns.
Check all work to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Maintain logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures and fasteners per blueprint specs.
