Qualifications

• Must be eligible to receive DoD Secret or higher clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, FEMAP with NX/NASTRAN, and CAD/PLM tools such as Solidworks PDM and Teamcenter
• Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills

Responsibilities

• Review and approve structural analysis reports to show compliance with airworthiness requirements.
• Coordinate with project Design Engineers to ensure that aircraft modifications and installations meet structural design requirements.
• Develop and implement engineering processes and standards for structural analysis.
• Review designs and drawings and recommend design improvements.
• Coordinate conceptual through completion of the design effort.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, technical acceptance, and other performance metrics.
• Proof loads, displacements, stress reports and substantiations for complex structures.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Designers to substantiate aircraft modifications and ensure the structural design meets airworthiness requirements.
• Ensure documentation of structural analysis in formal reports and approve release of structural tests and post-processed results to establish allowable strength data.
• Able to confidently estimate engineering labor hours for formal bids and manage labor forecasts.
• Must be a mature and confident professional, strong communicator, organized team player, able to face challenges and bring order when necessary.
• Ability to manage outside resources when required and must be a capable and confident cross-functional team leader.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and certifications.
• Review, accept, or recommend changes to PSCPs, MDLs, fabrication and inspection lists, and Configuration Management Plans.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
