Job summary

West Star Aviation in East Alton, IL seeks a Quality Control Inspector to maintain FAA-compliant quality standards, inspect technician work, and sign off on airframe activities in coordination with QA, programs, and project teams.

Ideal candidate has 3 years turbine aircraft inspection experience, holds an A&P or Repairman cert, IA recommended, and a high school diploma; must communicate clearly in English and be able to work in a hangar environment with varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A&P license or Repairman Certificate required.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) rating recommended.
• Valid driver’s license and passport ideal.

Responsibilities

• Maintain West Star Aviation’s quality standards by inspecting technicians’ work, performing "ok to close", and auditing.
• Ensure proper sign-offs in Corridor as part of the inspection process.
• Participate in daily review meetings.
• Assist with Airframe Inspections.
• Follow up with all departments to get steps signed off, inspected, and closed so airframe squawks can be completed.
• Maintain customer oriented work habits and clear communication in English.
