Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to uphold our aviation quality standards in alignment with FAA regulations. You will work with Aircraft Technicians, Program Managers, Team Leaders, and QA Inspectors to ensure inspections, sign-offs, and timely resolution of airframe squawks.

The role requires a high school diploma, an A&P or Repairman certificate, and familiarity with FAA rules. IA is recommended; travel and basic driving license may be needed; candidate must

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A&P License or Repairman Certificate required.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) rating recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain West Star Aviation’s quality standards by inspecting technician’s work, performing “ok to close”, and auditing.
  • Ensure proper sign-offs in Corridor as part of the inspection process.
  • Participate in daily review meetings.
  • Assist with Airframe Inspections.
  • Follow up with all departments to get steps signed off, inspected, and closed so airframe squawks can be completed.
  • Help manage Equipment Removal and Installation Log.
  • Assist QA Department with log research issues to help clear items that are in question.
  • Daily contact at aircraft with Team Leaders to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain customer oriented work habits.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
