Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA is seeking a Metrology Engineer to implement and support metrology tooling for aircraft production. You will prepare measurement programs and develop procedures supporting tooling, machining, and assembly processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and about 18 months of related experience; familiarity with Metrolog X4/X4V5 or comparable software is preferred, along with CATIA and Lean/Six Sigma knowledge.

Competenze

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
18 months of Metrology/Manufacturing/Automation Engineering experience.
Knowledge of metrology equipment and software.
Reading/writing English proficiency.

Mansioni

Develop optimized measurement plans from aircraft engineering and production requirements.
Create programming for measurement equipment used in development, manufacture and support of Gulfstream aircraft.
Collaborate with engineering, tooling, manufacturing engineering and operations to determine optimal procedures.
Create standardized inspection reports using Metrologic software.
Study and optimize equipment performance for increased capacity and efficiency.
Coordinate the implementation of projects between multiple organizations.
Support safety, sustainability and ergonomic initiatives.
Assist tool shop during inspections.
