Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II specializing in tooling and metrology for the Savannah Complex. You will analyze production methods, optimize tooling, and apply Lean Six Sigma to drive efficiency and quality.

Under minimal supervision, you will interface with Engineering and Operations to implement projects across multiple organizations, leveraging SAP, Solumina, and PLM tools. Travel up to 25% is possible; full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 18 months manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Corridor) preferred.
• Experience with PLM software (SmarTeam, CATIA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical studies of a complex nature; analyze operations and recommend equipment and methods.
• Write detailed work instructions to optimize processes and reduce defects.
• Create DRDI/DMT rework instructions for corrective actions.
• Develop MBOM in SAP/Solumina/Corridor to match Engineering intent during assembly/installation.
• Support make-or-buy evaluations; assess vendors and assist in negotiations.
• Conduct research and analysis to ensure conformance to requirements for projects.
• Prepare justification for equipment and facility requests.
