Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA seeks a Metrology Engineer II to implement, program, and support metrology equipment in tooling, development, and production. You will work under minimal supervision to improve designs and manufacturing methods related to tooling and assembly.

Responsibilities include developing measurement programs, collaborating with engineering and operations, and creating standardized reporting. Strong knowledge of metrology software and CATIA/PLM tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
18 months of Metrology/Manufacturing/Automation experience.
Knowledge of metrology software and 3D CAD/CAM tools is required.

Responsibilities

Develop measurement plans and processes from aircraft engineering and tooling designs.
Create programming for measurement equipment used in development and production of Gulfstream aircraft.
Collaborate with engineering, tooling, manufacturing engineering and operations to define optimal procedures.
Document standards for handling and use of metrology equipment.
Create standardized inspection reports using Metrologic software.
Study and optimize equipment performance for capacity and efficiency.
Coordinate projects between organizations and support safety initiatives.
