Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, inspections, and servicing on assigned aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD data. The role requires an FAA A&P certificate and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Citizenship and the ability to obtain CBP background clearance are required. The position may involve travel to temporary duty sites, potential in-flight checks, and working with diverse, high-security environments.

Qualifications

• Must possess an FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Experience with maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of aircraft systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD data.
• Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on assigned aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and fault-isolate aircraft systems, including hydraulics, fuel, and electrical.
• May fly on Government aircraft for relocation or in-flight checks.
• May travel to temporary duty sites domestically and internationally.
