Job summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on assigned aircraft in a demanding maintenance and operations environment in San Diego, CA. The role requires certification, compliance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations, and the ability to troubleshoot complex aircraft systems.

Candidates must have an FAA A&P certificate, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read technical manuals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
• Knowledge of repair and maintenance for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and systems.
• Ability to read, interpret schematics, blueprints, manuals and directives.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD.
• Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in aircraft systems and perform corrosion control.
