Job summary

Amentum seeks an experienced CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair on assigned aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD data. You will conduct daily inspections, troubleshoot systems, and may participate in in-flight checks or travel for temporary duty.

Candidates must hold an FAA A&P certificate, be able to obtain a CBP clearance (US citizenship required), and be able to read technical manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Must possess FAA A&P license.
• Must be able to obtain CBP background clearance; US citizenship required.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Must be able to pass random drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD data.
• Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and fault isolate on aircraft systems.
• May fly on Government aircraft for relocation, test flights, and trouble shooting.
• May travel to temporary duty sites within and outside the United States.
• Furnish own hand tools; tools and test equipment provided by customer.
• May perform other duties to support the mission.
• Periodically travel in support of customers’ mission.
