Job summary

Cirrus is seeking a Production Manager to direct and coordinate the activities of the production assembly department. You will oversee quality and safety, manage the health of the direct labor force, and support training, retention, and hiring while executing the production design provided by Cirrus Process Engineering.

You will monitor performance, prioritize schedules, drive process improvements, reduce scrap, and work with engineers to optimize line design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred from a four-year college; manufacturing field preferred.
• 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Lean Manufacturing Principles and 6S familiarity; lead lean projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of production assembly department(s).
• Ensure safety standards/policies are met.
• Monitor employee performance and training needs.
• Execute production design provided by Cirrus Process Engineering and work with Process Engineers to optimize line design.
• Prioritize production schedules based on introduction, equipment, and materials.
• Review reports and resolve manufacturing and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delays.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs, labor hours, scrap, and NCRs.
• Coach and develop staff to achieve on-time delivery with zero defects.
