Cirrus Aircraft seeks an Assistant Plant Manager, Operations to oversee the manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. You will drive plant optimization, lead continuous improvement efforts, and manage budgets while coordinating with engineering and other departments.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and a focus on reducing waste and increasing throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 12 years of related experience with minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience or equivalent.
• Strong leadership experience; formal training preferred.
• Budgeting proficiency and cost-control skills.
• Ability to manage escalations and meet goals in challenging situations.
• Coordinate multiple efforts and lead a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

• Leads manufacturing development strategy and monitors key metrics (safety, quality, delivery, waste, cost).
• Communicates vision and goals to supervisors and technicians to improve quality and throughput.
• Ensures safety standards are met and corrects unsafe acts.
• Oversees plant procedures, training, and continuous improvement activities.
• Manages budget and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with engineering and other departments to improve products and processes.
