Job summary

Cirrus is seeking a seasoned Production Leader to direct and coordinate the production assembly department for aircraft builds. You will oversee labor health, training, and hiring while aligning with Cirrus Process Engineering to execute design changes and improve line efficiency.

Responsibilities include prioritizing schedules, monitoring performance, reducing scrap, and driving continuous improvement to achieve zero defects for internal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or related field preferred; associate degree possible with additional leadership experience.
• 7 years of related manufacturing leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Cirrus Design's manufacturing processes preferred.
• Strong communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Lean manufacturing principles knowledge; ability to lead Lean projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of production assembly department(s).
• Oversees quality and safety of aircraft build and personnel.
• Train, retain, hire, and support direct labor force.
• Execute production design as set by Cirrus Process Engineering.
• Prioritize production schedules based on introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
• Reduce scrap and NCRs; maintain overtime guidelines and monitor absenteeism.
• Coach staff, plan improvements, and ensure on-time delivery with zero defects.
