Job summary

Middle Tennessee State University is seeking a Technician - Aircraft to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections on university aircraft, returning aircraft to service and supporting related logistics. You will assist with scheduling maintenance events, parts procurement and warranty administration.

A Bachelor's degree is required, along with one year of General Aviation maintenance experience with flight school exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• One year General Aviation maintenance experience with flight school exposure.
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant privileges required.
• Desirable: IA / Inspection Authorization.
• Desirable: Private pilot certificate and third class medical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections on university aircraft and return them to service.
• Perform general maintenance to department vehicles, shop equipment and ground support equipment.
• Assist in scheduling maintenance events, parts procurement, warranty administration and return shipments.
