Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time, on-site role involves hands-on maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and component work on civilian aircraft.

The position requires an Airframe or Powerplant license (Airframe preferred) with 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience, or more for higher levels. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years aviation maintenance experience.
• Ability to follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Removal and installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system issues.
• De-fueling aircraft.
• Engine removal/installations.
• Operating ground support equipment.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
