Job description

Flexjet is currently seeking a certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our team! This position will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems. The AMT will make repairs and conduct tests to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely. Please note, this position requires night shifts.

This position is located in Cleveland, OH at the Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements.
2. Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacement parts; test aircraft systems.
3. Operate all necessary power tools and equipment for job assignments.
4. Accurately complete all maintenance records, including reporting times required for tasks.
5. Support all company policies and safety programs, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
6. Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
8. Demonstrate professionalism and deliver customer satisfaction.
9. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License is required.
• 2-4 years of directly related aviation experience, preferably with corporate aircraft.
• At least 2 years of fleet-type experience is desired.
• Good working knowledge of FAR Parts 135, 121, and 145.
• Sheet metal experience is a plus but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Highly motivated, able to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
• Ability to multi-task within a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs.
• Proven inspection competencies.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions and loud noise levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must frequently stand, walk, use hands, and reach; occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
