Job summary

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation in Washington, Dulles Airport, seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P Mechanic) to perform line maintenance in accordance with FAA rules and company procedures. Strong reading, writing, and English communication are essential.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, an FAA A&P license, ability to lift 70 pounds, and willingness to pass background checks and drug screening; offers competitive pay, a $5,000 sign-on, full benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Must have a valid A&P and State Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightcheck’s RSM, QCM, customers’ procedures, FARs, and all other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Accomplish job functions to the highest safety, quality, reliable, and efficient standards.
  • Complete aircraft maintenance work assignments to the highest standards to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Able to read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft maintenance manuals and other maintenance documents to complete work assignments.
  • Must be customer service-oriented.
  • Ensure all company, customer, and regulatory documents are complete and accurate.
  • Occasional travel may occur.
  • Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties, i.e., servicing units, jacks, lifts, calibrated tooling, etc.
