Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Corrosion II to support U.S. Navy aviation maintenance operations at NAS Norfolk, VA. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting aircraft structures, engines, and systems to ensure safe operation.

Qualified candidates will have seven years of E-2C/D maintenance experience with CDI/QA familiarity, high school diploma, and completion of Navy A School. This on-site position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Navy Aviation Structural Mechanic “A” School.
• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
• Any additional qualifications or license required to maintain aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, APU, and HVAC systems.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures and components, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections and documents work performed in maintenance records.
