Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Appleton seeks an entry-level Cabinet Maker I to join the fabrication and veneer shop. You will learn to fabricate aircraft cabinets and related wood-surfaced components from engineering drawings, using laminates, veneers and cap strips.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; woodworking experience or a cabinet-making certificate is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and accurate part fabrication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Woodworking, wood finishing or auto body & painting experience in a technical environment or completion of Technical Certificate in cabinet making preferred.
• Position requires reading and understanding design/engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Learns entry-level technical skills and knowledge related to fabrication of aircraft cabinets and other wood-surfaced subassemblies.
• Uses design/engineering drawings, laminates, veneers and cap strips to develop fabrication proficiency.
• Utilizes the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off completed work.
• Follows safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and uses PPE; assists in related initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
