Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Appleton, WI is seeking a Cabinetmaker II to fabricate aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies per blueprints and drawings. You will assemble shells, install hardware, and apply exterior surfaces using laminates and veneers.

You’ll use power tools and follow strict safety and quality standards. Minimum two years in cabinetmaking with aerospace experience preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in cabinetmaking.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using specifications and drawings.
• Assembles, pins, glues cabinet shells, installs drawer slides, hinges, latches and hardware.
• Uses power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture.
• Follows safety, 5S and housekeeping policies and uses PPE.
• Uses the material tracking system to create parts demand and sign-off work.
• Supports process improvements to increase safety, reduce cost and cycle time.
