Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Wisconsin seeks a skilled cabinetmaker to fabricate aircraft furniture and wood subassemblies per blueprints and aerospace specifications, prioritizing safety, quality and productivity.

Under general supervision, you will assemble components, install hardware, apply laminates and veneers, and operate various power tools. A high school diploma or GED and 2 years of cabinetmaking experience are required; aerospace experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in cabinetmaking.
• Possess working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, aircraft specifications and drawings.
• Assemble, pins and glues cabinet shells; install drawer-slides, hinges, latches and hardware.
• Use power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture.
• Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; wear PPE as required.
• Use material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
