PeoplePilot seeks an Avionics Electrical Design Engineer to lead schematic capture, RF circuit design, and high-speed PCB layout for airborne electronics. You will apply EMI/EMC practices and drone-proof testing to ensure robust performance.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with systems, embedded, mechanical, and verification teams, and requires hands-on use of RF/test equipment and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
  • Design RF/electrical circuits, including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and related interfaces.
  • Perform PCB layout, including high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.
  • Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout schematic and PCB development.
  • Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent tools.
  • Support design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of electrical/PCB issues.
  • Perform and support environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace and airborne hardware standards, including DO-160 and DO-254.
  • Work with test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Collaborate with systems, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, and verification teams.
  • Support design reviews, documentation, qualification, and production release activities.
