Job summary

Cyient seeks an Avionics Electrical Design Engineer specializing in schematic design and PCB/board layout for airborne electronics. You will develop electrical schematics, design RF/electrical circuits, and perform PCB layout with a focus on signal and power integrity.

The role involves EMI/EMC considerations, circuit simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or similar tools, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and DO-160/DO-254.

Qualifications

• Develop electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
• Design RF/electrical circuits including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters.
• Perform PCB layout with high-speed design and signal integrity considerations.
• Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout schematic and PCB development.
• Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent tools.
• Support design verification, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical/PCB issues.
• Perform environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
• Design RF/electrical circuits, including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and related interfaces.
• Perform PCB layout, including high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.
• Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout schematic and PCB development.
• Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent tools.
• Support design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of electrical/PCB issues.
• Perform and support environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace and airborne hardware standards, including DO-160 and DO-254.
• Work with test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Collaborate with systems, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, and verification teams.
• Support design reviews, documentation, qualification, and production release activities.
