Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, PCB Design to lead the design and integration of embedded electrical systems for UAS platforms. The role focuses on flight-critical circuits, power systems, avionics interfaces, and rugged, manufacturable electronics.

You will work with cross-functional teams across GNC, Software, Mechanical, Autonomy, and Production to ensure seamless integration and flight-ready hardware. Prior aerospace experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field required.
• 4–7 years of PCB design experience for aerospace/defense or UAS applications.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed digital design and power distribution.
• Familiarity with IPC standards, impedance routing, and stack-up design.
• Experience with design rule checks and signal integrity analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop multi-layer PCBs for avionics and sensors.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium or equivalent.
• Optimize signal integrity, impedance and thermal management.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate system requirements to PCB implementations.
• Support board bring-up, testing, and environmental validation.
• Integrate sensors, radios, autopilots, datalinks, GPS, and embedded compute.
• Participate in design reviews and reliability evaluations.
• Ensure manufacturability and compliance with aerospace standards.
