Job summary

Saic is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control Instructor-II for the Chicago Midway ATCT, responsible for delivering quality training to air traffic controllers and participating in curriculum development.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of FAA CPC experience and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Responsibilities include mentoring and effective interface with students and FAA personnel.

Target salary range is between $40,001 and $80,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic.
• Recent experience as a contract instructor at an FAA facility is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality classroom and simulation lab training to air traffic controllers.
• Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators as needed.
• Participate in curriculum design and ensure effective training delivery.

Skills

FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic

Operational experience with ATC simulators

Effective interfacing with FAA personnel

Excellent teaching and classroom management skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification
